Welcome to the Norwich Business Improvement District Management Association, Inc. (BIDMA), founded in 1982 as one of the first BID's in New York State.

BID capitalizes on the idea that the downtown is the center of community life and more than just a place of commerce. We believe that a revitalized downtown benefits the entire community because an attractive downtown is a symbol of community economic health, quality of life and pride in history.

The Norwich BID is governed by a district management association, a not-for-profit corporation which is charged with carrying out the activities set forth in the BUSINESS IMPROVEMENT DISTRICT PLAN (PDF: 1.1 MB).
